What is 24-7 Prayer?
24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational prayer movement, with a vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer.
The movement started in 1999, when a simple student-led prayer vigil went viral and groups all over the world joined in to pray. Now, over two decades later, thousands of communities have taken part in 24-7 Prayer in churches, communities and cities in over half the countries on earth.
24-7 Prayer has three main vehicles as a movement.

For over two decades we’ve been helping people to encounter God and engage with the needs of the world through prayer. We’re known for inspiring prayer in the most and least likely of places, from churches and cathedrals to tents and breweries. We also provide free prayer courses, apps and resources that enable communities and individuals to grow and develop their relationship with God.

Mission is not an activity we do, it’s a way of life. When we connect with God in prayer we are propelled out, into the world, fueled with a desire to see transformation and live counter-culturally. Prayer is always the birthplace of mission: a calling to live as Christ-followers to the world around us, shining our light beyond the prayer room.

As Christians, we are called by God to seek justice, and pursue it. Our heart for those in need is sparked in prayer when we encounter Jesus, the one who transformed the lives of the poor, broken and neglected. We need to pray for justice but we also need to do it; to be the answer to our prayers and go to those God leads us to.
Now about us specifically…
In 2021, after reading Red Moon Rising we dreamed of what a space of non-stop prayer would look like in our town. A place where anyone could come at anytime. A thin-plan for the LORD where His presence was known and experienced.
We’re the first 24-7 Prayer Space of our kind in Louisiana, which is exciting! We’re hopeful more start sprouting up across our wonderful state. 24-7 Prayer Morgan City officially launched in September 2023. In the Summer of 2023, we started with over 48 hours of non-stop prayer with 50+ people taking turns to pray.
This space was birthed for this community we deeply love. We believe in St. Mary Parish. We believe the best days are ahead and we know the future is bright with creativity, innovation and leaders with a deep love for our community.
We believe in the people of St. Mary Parish. There is great faith roots here with a beautiful invitation from the Creator of the Universe to have a flourishing and intimate relationship with us — His people.
Our space is not a covert church spot. In fact, while we’re located on a church’s property, you won’t find anything about that church in the space. This is far bigger than one, or a small collective of churches. This is about the Kingdom. The Kingdom is Jesus and the Kingdom is now and forever.
